Digital imaging Part two

Digital imaging:

In this post I will be showing different images of pictures that look good and how the picture has been taken and probably some images that have been edited and made to look a lot better than what they were at the start of them and why they I like them. I will also be writing about different photographers and what kind of photos they are known for. Also be explaining what kind of images I like.

the kind of images I want to take is ones that I can just bring into photoshop and have a  big variety of effects, filters and tools I can use on them to make them to improve how they look and make it so you won't recognise the original image that I had taken from the start.

I like this image here because of how creative it is and its yet so simple but amazing. I like how he waited for the sunrise and how it is glowing onto the railings on the rail track. and he might of changed the contrast or something on this image to make the sun area brighter than it originally was

I like this image because it has been taken when water has splashed onto the surface and it is in mid air and he/she has timed the taken the picture perfectly and obviously he/she has added some effects to it because the hills at the back of it have been blurred out so the water stands out. Editor of this image might of added the particles of water in we do not know because we have seen not seen the original image. This is why it is important to show the image before it was edited and after it has been edited.








This is something that I made myself on Photoshop. I started this by going just outside of college with my friend and getting a picture of the clouds and that sounds rather easier but it was harder than you think because I wanted the clouds to look a certain way and when me and my friend went out to take the image there wasn't that many clouds and the ones we wanted had something in the way like a lampost or something but in the end we got one that we both liked. I then put it into photoshop and added effects to it to make it look totally different than it originally was. This was a banner that was for a show that was involving some of the students from a different course and the teacher of that course wanted a banner to be made. This is why i made this. Each one of them was for a assignment which I had to make a poster and also a banner




I got some feedback from my friend about the work I have did.

I think my images look great the ones that I have shown but not lots of detail but there is some so I agree with his comment but not 100% agree with it

Planning for my Arts Award Challenge

To achieve my Arts Award Challenge I will need a computer with PhotoShop. I will be using  images that have originally come from the internet.

I will need to first look at other images produced in PhotoShop that I really like. Then I will be checking out tutorials available on the web to help me find out about the PhotoShop effects I want to develop.

My strengths within Digital imaging

I like doing digital imaging because it allows you to get creative with what you do and your ideas because you hold the camera so you can do whatever you want and there a lot of different things you can do within it. and it improves your communication alot and allows you to work with people more than you do in any other lesson in my opinion. I also like the editing part because there is a lot of different effects you can use and filters you can add to the image. Personally it is my favourite thing to do, I like editing images and seeing what I can do with them by adding other images onto them and changing them so it looks like something totally new and you would not recognise the original image from the edited one. its time consuming but I find it peaceful because you can just sit with your earphones in and get on with your work without anyone telling you what to do.  I also like taking the images because you can try out different angles and go to different locations and see what angle works best for what you are looking for. The program I use most is photoshop for this kind of work because it gives you a lot of different tools to work with to use on your image.

My Weaknesses within Digital Imaging

My weaknesses are learning some of the tools on the program I use to edit the images and that is photoshop because some tools are hard to get the grip of because when you use that tool sometimes they have a lot more tools inside that tool that you have to do in order to do what you want in the first place and some of the cameras are hard to use because of how many buttons they have on them and different things you can do on them and sometimes I dont like holding the camera because of the price of it so incase I drop it.(Have not finished)

What I like to do within Photography

I like going to places and looking for the perfect place and time to take a perfect picture and not having a time limit like having to take a picture within 30 minutes I like taking my time and just looking for the perfect landscape or of someone doing something. I prefer taking images of objects and different kind of landscapes and when I take them I dont just settle for something I like but not fully I will try and take a picture that I love and I dont have any doubts about it. I also like the part were you edit the image because I like sitting there and just taking my time and looking at different effects and what ones I like the best and knowing I am always just change it back if I wanted to. I also like editing things from scratch by adding effects onto images and downloading fonts and using them and find some images from certain sites and then using them and taking certain parts out of that image you want and fitting it into my image.

My Arts Award Challenge

I set myself a challenge that I chose at my own accord and that was to develop my digital imaging skills and i am going to do this by experimenting with new effects and filters and try these out through making new projects like posters and graphics in PhotoShop. This challenge that I have set is just for me to achieve and is something new because I am going to be developing and learning about new skills and effects in digital imaging.
